We have been providing practical solutions in the design & manufacture of interior environments for over 25 years.

Operating from 16,000 square feet of manufacturing buildings in Wellington, Somerset incorporating a machine shop, in house spraying & drying areas, final assembly shop & warehousing.
Design
Using the latest 3D design software Autodesk Inventor & SketchUp, we are able to present our clients with scale working models of proposed concepts for approval prior to manufacture.
Design & Management Team
Dedicated design managers are allocated to each project. All managers are ex shop floor skilled staff & are CAD literate, providing a wealth of knowledge to drive your project to a successful conclusion.
Machine Shop
An array of traditional woodworking machinery along with three CNC Machine centres & edging machinery. Other plant includes platen press, laser engraving & vacuum forming machinery.
Assembly Shops
Our main assembly floor & additional mezzanine space are both dedicated to production & assembly. We can easily accommodate large production runs as well as the assembly & pre-build of larger bespoke joinery items.
Finishing Shop
With multiple spray booths, drying & preparation areas, our experienced finishing team apply a vast range of finishes, including acid catalyst lacquers & polyurethane 2 pack products to a very high standard.
Warehousing
We have dedicated storage space for our extensive range of raw materials &
finished unitary. Most of our common materials are generally held in stock.
Other services
We don't just specialise in wood based products, we can provide all metalwork, LED lighting, wiring, glass & acrylic requirements to provide your project with a complete solution. We are also an approved fabricator of LG Hi-MACS & Corian acrylic solid surface, with thermoforming capabilities.
Environmental
First Manufacturing are embarking on a journey to net zero. All aspects of the business are being reviewed. Currently we separate all our timber waste for recycle collection & we use a biomass converter to heat our premises in the winter months. Plans are in place to introduce solar capture to our buildings.
